Waynetown Dec 22 - Mrs. Rebecca Hallett, 91, widow of Elijah P. Hallett, died suddenly here, Sunday night at the home of a son, Elijah Hallett. She had been ill with a heart ailment. Born Feb 18, 1856 near Wallace, Mrs. Hallett was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Bowman Newkirk. She was married July 23, 1874 to Elijah P. Hallett also of near Wallace, who died in 1916. She was a member of the Lutheran Church at Wallace. Surviving besides the son at whose whom she passed away are two sons, Charles also of Waynetown and Alva of Alamo, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a brother, Joe Newkirk, a resident of the Masonic Home in Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 oo'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home with burial at the Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Rev. Guy Tremaine will be the officiating minister. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home here. - kbz
